Deprecated Technologies (CTA-2138)

This document enumerates two groups of technologies that should not be used in connected devices for security reasons.

The first group of technologies are those that are formally Deprecated by Acknowledged Authorities.

The second group of technologies are those that are broadly considered insecure but have not been formally Deprecated by an Acknowledged Authority. This may be, for example, because there is no Acknowledged Authority that can claim ownership, or for some other reason that prevents qualifying for the Formally Deprecated Technologies list.
