Recently, CTA published the document Web Application Video Ecosystem (WAVE) - Web Media API Snapshot 2025 (CTA-5000-H), which lists key web browser components used for streaming media that were supported by all four of the major web browsers at the time of the document’s publication. It’s been used to create a test suite that device makers can use to confirm that their products are up-to-date with current web standards at the time of product release.
