CTA Publishes New Revision to the WAVE Device Playback Capabilities Specification
CTA’s WAVE Project published CTA-5003-C, Device Playback Capabilities Specification. CTA-5003-C defines requirements for playback of WAVE-compliant streaming media content. It addresses features like buffering (the playback device’s temporary storage of incoming content so it can be fed to the screen and speakers in a smooth, even fashion), encryption of streaming content, randomly accessing content mid-stream, and more. For more information and to access the standard, visit WAVE Device Playback Capabilities Specification.
