Communications Committee

The Communications Committee of the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)® consists of senior representatives from member companies responsible for public relations, strategic communications, public affairs, media relations or general public engagement.

The committee provides an opportunity for CTA member companies to get an early look at and participate in communications activities supporting the consumer technology industry, CES® and other CTA-produced events.

Key Initiatives

  • Help direct and oversee CTA’s public relations, media engagement and public education activities, including campaigns to promote key product categories such as 4K Ultra High-Definition television, drones and disruptive technologies.

  • Assist in developing messaging and strategic initiatives for CES and CTA events.

  • Provide strategic direction for communications efforts supporting industry public policy priorities.

  • Participate in identifying content and overall strategic focus for CTA publications and award programs.

    CTA Apprenticeship Coalition

    The Consumer Technology Association (CTA)® and IBM created the CTA Apprenticeship Coalition, a collaborative effort by CTA member companies to create and expand hundreds of apprenticeship opportunities nationwide and prepare American workers for careers in fast-growing fields such as software engineering, data analytics, project management and hardware design.
