Today, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)® announced Brian Moon as its new vice president of sales and business development for CES®. Brian had been CTA’s vice president of international sales since 2014 and previously served as CTA’s national accounts manager from 2003-2009.

“Brian brings a depth of expertise and energy to this position,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CTA. “We are excited to see Brian’s efforts expand to include CES and all of its branded events. He has shown vision, leadership and results over the past six years and is adept at applying the lessons he has learned to helping grow CES.”

Brian will lead the sales team for CTA and CES, driving growth and industry engagement for the world’s largest, most influential tech event. CES 2020, which concluded last week, welcomed over 170,000 industry professionals and media and more than 4,400 exhibiting companies. CES 2021 will be held Jan. 6-9 in Las Vegas.

“Given his understanding of the tech sector and boundless enthusiasm, Brian is a great fit for this position,” said Karen Chupka, executive vice president, CES. “CES is a global show – a third of our attendees come from countries other than the U.S. Brian has extensive international sales experience and his knowledge will be especially valuable.”

In addition to two tenures with CTA, Brian served as vice president of sales, convention and allied membership with the National Restaurant Association for five years; and manager, industry relations and exhibits at the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses.

Brian graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology, with a B.S. in Communications and Marketing.
