Just as an increasing number of countries were making peace and expanding trade with Israel, Hamas terrorists attacked, killed, maimed and took hostage thousands of Israeli civilians. Based on current reports, American lives were also likely lost.

I am horrified by this criminal behavior, certainly considered immoral under every major religion. It is criminal at the highest level to intentionally harm and kill innocent people – in an attempt to seek to destroy the rising tide of peace. Peace and freer trade would raise up their brothers and sisters, giving them a chance for a better life. We must remain committed to this pursuit of a better future.

My heart goes out to those who are suffering due to these senseless acts of violence. My thoughts are with our Israeli CES exhibitors and attendees. We stand in solidarity with you and Israel.

I urge every leader to stand up in protest of this inexcusable disregard for humans and all forms of anti-Semitism.
