Today, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)® announced U.S. Representatives Rodney Davis (R-IL) and Debbie Dingell (D-MI), as the association’s 2021 Digital Patriots. The Digital Patriot Awards, which honor elected officials who champion policies and practices vital to innovation in consumer technology and America’s global tech leadership, were recognized as part of CTA’s Tech Week.

“Reps. Davis and Dingell are champions of pro-innovation policies that helped create jobs, strengthen our economy and improve lives across the country,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CTA. “Their work in Congress helped make America the global innovation leader we are today.”

Rep. Rodney Davis (R-IL)

As the Ranking Member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Highways and Transit, Rep. Davis played an integral role in upgrading our highway, transit and aviation systems and promoting transformative technologies from self-driving vehicles to e-scooters. Rep. Davis also championed drones as an aid to Illinois farmers in monitoring and protecting their land and crops. Additionally, as an advocate for free trade, he supported the passage of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement—the new NAFTA—to grow America’s jobs and economy.
