CTA Welcomes Ed Brzytwa as Vice President of International Trade

Today, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)® announced Ed Brzytwa, former director of international trade at the American Chemistry Council, will join the organization as vice president of international trade. Brzytwa will provide expertise on trade policy priorities such as bolstering global supply chains and removing and reducing tariffs.

“We are thrilled to welcome Ed to the CTA team,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CTA. “He brings a wealth of knowledge in international trade and will provide valuable expertise to support the tech industry’s push for opening global markets and resolving supply chain barriers – spurring economic competitiveness, job growth and much-needed relief for businesses and consumers.” 

At the American Chemistry Council, Brzytwa led advocacy on trade and investment policy, supply chain resilience and trade controls. He worked with U.S. and international partners and represented the U.S. chemical industry before the U.S. administration and Congress.

Previously, Brzytwa served as director of global policy at the Information Technology Industry Council, and director of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation affairs at the Office of the United States Trade Representative. He also served as an international trade specialist at the United States Department of Commerce.

He holds two master’s degrees: one in international studies from the University of Vienna and one in commercial diplomacy from Middlebury Institute of International Studies. He received his bachelor’s degree in the Classics from the College of the Holy Cross.
