CTA Promotes Suzanna Kang to General Counsel

Today, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)® announced the promotion of Suzanna Kang to General Counsel. She joined CTA in February 2020 and most recently served as Deputy General Counsel.

“Suzanna has made an impact at CTA, especially in our contractual negotiations as we built the first all-digital CES,” said Glenda MacMullin, COO and CFO, CTA. “She brings deep legal experience, business judgment and positive energy to CTA, complemented by her proven ability to serve as a legal advisor to the executive team.”

In her new role, Kang will lead CTA’s legal, compliance, contracts, commercial transactions, litigation and risk assessment functions.

Kang joined CTA from Cisco Systems, Inc., where she served as a senior counsel, advising the supply chain organization as part of the business solutions group and the sales teams serving the largest U.S. service providers.

Prior to her time at Cisco, Kang worked in private practice specializing in corporate and commercial transactions. She also served in the federal government at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative and House of Representatives.

Kang received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. She is licensed to practice in Virginia and the District of Columbia and is a member of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association (DC).
