The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) mourns the passing of John Laposky, editor in chief of TWICE magazine and longtime journalist covering the consumer electronics industry. The following statement is attributed to Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CTA:

He was a familiar face to all of us at CTA, regularly covering CES and serving as a judge for the CT Hall of Fame and our Innovation Entrepreneur Awards. John was smart, honest, reliable and trustworthy. We have lost an industry stalwart and true friend.”
