The following statement is attributed to Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, Consumer Technology Association (CTA), regarding the Senate confirmation of Chairman and Commissioners for the Federal Trade Commission (FTC): 

“We applaud the Senate on the appointments of Joseph Simons as Chairman and Rohit Chopra, Noah Phillips, Rebecca Slaughter as Commissioners of the Federal Trade Commission. We look forward to continuing an open dialogue between industry and government as we work together to best serve consumers. CTA also congratulates Christine Wilson, who will take Acting Chairman Maureen Ohlhausen’s seat if confirmed as a Judge on the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.
