The Consumer Technology Association (CTA)® Trade Policy Working Group updates our members on domestic and global trade news, and advocate for their interests on Capitol Hill.

Key Workstreams

  • Shipping and logistics: Advocate for customs modernization, trade facilitation, and ocean shipping reform measures that positively impact the consumer tech industry.
  • Trade controls: For issues that are at the intersection of trade policy and national security such as export controls and outbound investment.
  • UFLPA: Advocacy related to the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act.
  • Latin America: For any and all trade issues related to this region.
  • ITA3: Advocate for the third expansion of the WTO Information Technology Agreement.
