September 1, 2026

Article Summary

Technology is integrated into nearly every part of our day. From the moment we wake up and head to the kitchen to start the day, wearables and smart home devices are making everyday life more seamless, with less stress and more control.

From safer kitchens to more restful nights, CTA members have consumers in mind, creating technology that supports us throughout the day — sometimes without us even noticing it.

Better Sleep for Better Days

Good quality sleep not only helps in the short term, improving energy and mental wellness, but can have long-term benefits for heart health, weight control and lowering the risk of chronic disease. Sleep is a vital part of our routine, and when it’s thrown off, we can quickly fall out of sync.

Earable Neuroscience has developed a brainband that helps users fall asleep faster. The FRENZ Brainband is a three-time CES Innovation Award® honoree and AI wearable designed to optimize sleep, focus and cognitive performance. Powered by science-backed EEG brainwave tracking and personalized audio therapy, the device goes beyond tracking to train the brain to improve sleep and focus over time.

The comfortable headband, designed for side sleepers, pairs with a mobile app. Users select sleep or focus mode, and the AI-enabled technology handles the rest, delivering audio content through bone-conduction speakers.

While you sleep, the app tracks brain signals, eye movements, facial micromovements and other biofeedback. The device then selects clinically proven audio content to match your brain state, helping you fall asleep faster. After a restful night, it wakes you within your preferred time frame at the optimal point in your sleep cycle.

And that support doesn’t have to end when the day begins. From a brainband at night to a smart ring throughout the day, wearables are giving consumers more personalized insight into their health and wellness around the clock.

Smaller Ring, Bigger Health Picture

Digital health wearables have transformed the way we look at our wellness each day, and ŌURA has gone beyond fitness tracking to give consumers a bigger picture of their overall health. Earlier this summer, ŌURA unveiled the world’s smallest smart ring, Oura Ring 5.

The latest lightweight, non-allergenic titanium ring goes beyond tracking, helping consumers take charge of their health with new software focused on preventive health, metabolic insights, live activity and more. At 40% smaller than its predecessor, with six to nine days of battery life, water resistance and redesigned sensors to improve accuracy, the device is designed to seamlessly integrate into daily life.

Alongside the new ring, ŌURA introduced software spanning activity tracking, proactive health, connected care, metabolic health and more, available on Oura Ring Gen3 and later models. With an Oura Membership, users can access insights into heart health, stress levels, women’s health, including cycle insights, and more.

ŌURA is also partnering with Counsel Health, an on-demand care platform that combines medical AI with licensed physicians, to bring AI-enabled care to the Oura App. The partnership enables consumers to ask health questions, receive personalized medical advice and connect with licensed providers within minutes, all through the Oura App.

A Smarter, Safer Kitchen

Many say the kitchen is the heart of the home, where meals are cooked and memories are made, but it is also the leading source of residential fires, often caused by forgotten or unattended cooking. iGuard Home is helping bring peace of mind to families while empowering older adults to maintain their independence.

The iGuard™ is the company’s second-generation patented AgeTech platform, launched last month. The smart home device can be retrofitted to electric or gas cooking appliances and shuts off the appliance if it detects that no one is in the kitchen. The latest edition integrates with Care Daily’s AmbientOS AI AgeTech and IoT platform and is Alexa Skills and Ring app certified.

With a millimeter-wave radar activity sensor, extended cooking timer, temperature sensor, power shut-off capabilities for gas or electric appliances, monitoring capabilities and a cloud server, the HIPAA-compliant solution monitors cooking activity and changes in routine, alerting families and caregivers to potential concerns.

The result is a smarter kitchen that gives families greater peace of mind while empowering older adults to move through everyday life as usual.
