Gaming has become the new playground for children — a digital world where kids can be creative, develop social skills and build problem-solving abilities. But gaming can also leave parents feeling disconnected from their kids and concerned about online safety.

GuardianGamer, now available on the App Store, is a transformative solution addressing these challenges with its AI-powered cloud gaming platform — creating a trusted, engaging gaming environment for children ages 6–12 while enabling meaningful parental oversight. The platform brings parents up to speed on the positive power of gaming, offering peace of mind by streaming games from secure cloud servers.

GuardianGamer also provides AI-generated insights, helps children build connections with trusted friend groups and creates celebratory reels for both kids and parents to enjoy. The company has already seen powerful results, including stories like a mother discovering that her shy son was mentoring new players online.

As a CTA member, GuardianGamer’s membership has been pivotal to the company’s evolution.

I’ll never forget standing at CES 2023, watching cloud gaming presentations, when it hit me — why are we trying to monitor games from the outside when we could stream them ourselves? That CES aha moment transformed our entire approach, leading to the creation of the first family-safe cloud gaming platform. CTA member benefits, like the virtual roundtables, helped us refine our vision with valuable industry feedback. Being part of CTA’s innovation ecosystem gives us credibility as we establish this new category.

One Cable, Endless Possibilities: How HDMI Elevates Gaming

HDMI cables transform how we experience video and audio excellence. With a single connection, a home entertainment system can become an immersive gaming experience. HDMI Licensing Administrator, Inc. (HDMI LA) is the official agent appointed by the HDMI Forum and the HDMI Founders to market and license all versions of the HDMI specification and technology — while also championing innovation and providing education to adopters, retailers and consumers.

Our favorite portable gaming consoles, like the Nintendo Switch, can be enjoyed on the go or on the big screen — thanks to the power of HDMI. Beyond high-definition visuals, HDMI also unlocks advanced audio experiences. By routing sound through HDTVs equipped with HDMI ARC or eARC, players can connect to soundbars or AV receivers for rich, immersive audio.

In June, the HDMI 2.2 Specification was launched, delivering advanced solutions to create, distribute and experience optimal video and audio performance across a wide range of device applications. Be sure to catch HDMI Licensing Administrator, Inc. at CES 2026 in LVCC, Central Hall, where the organization will showcase the technology’s features and benefits and provide HDMI adopters and manufacturers a platform to demonstrate their products.

HDMI LA also recently served as a sponsor of CTA’s PlugFest. This annual event brings the industry together to privately test product compatibility before devices reach the market. The 2025 PlugFest featured opportunities for attendees to learn about the newly released ANSI/CTA-861-J, A DTV Profile for Uncompressed High-Speed Digital Interfaces and its impact on the industry.

The Mouse That Defined Gaming, Reimagined

Two decades ago, as PC gaming was coming into its own, the world’s first gaming mouse — the Razer Boomslang — launched and redefined how we play. Built with the player in mind, it featured 2000 DPI mechanical ball tracking and adjustable sensitivity, setting the blueprint for modern gaming mice.

Two decades later, Razer is celebrating the Boomslang’s legacy with the announcement of the 20th Anniversary Edition — a reimagining of the mouse that started it all.

The revamped mouse is designed to deliver unmatched performance for competitive gamers. With an upgrade to the Razer Focus Pro 45K Optical Sensor Gen-2, players can experience up to 45,000 DPI. Built to last, the mouse offers a 100-million-click lifespan and PU leather-wrapped primary buttons for an elevated look and improved grip control. Players can also customize their setup with a vibrant RGB underglow, unlocking 16.8 million colors and effects that sync with more than 300 Chroma-integrated games.

Now wireless, the mouse includes the Mouse Dock Pro, marking the evolution from wired-only gameplay to seamless wireless charging — all while maintaining the Boomslang’s iconic translucent design.

At CES 2025, Razer unveiled groundbreaking gaming innovations, including Project AVA, an AI esports coach; the Razer Blade 16, the thinnest gaming laptop ever; and the Razer Handheld Dock Chroma, which transforms mobile devices into powerful gaming consoles.

For decades, the biggest moments in gaming have debuted at CES — from Atari and Tetris to Xbox, Nintendo and Oculus. CES continues to be the place where gaming leaders showcase the ever-evolving world of play.
