Panasonic Leads the Charge in Renewable Energy with Home Solutions
Last month, Panasonic North America unveiled OASYS™ in Houston, TX – the company’s first-ever North American concept home. OASYS showcases next-generation solutions in indoor air quality, solar energy, battery storage, and a new residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system.
The advanced air quality system not only delivers cleaner, fresher air – it can also reduce energy consumption for heating and cooling by up to 53% compared to traditional HVAC systems.
With energy efficiency increasingly top-of-mind for homeowners, the OASYS concept home empowers builders to offer cleaner, higher-performing living environments.

Panasonic and Lucid: An Electrifying Partnership
At CES on the Hill, Panasonic North America teamed up with fellow CTA member Lucid Motors to present the Lucid Gravity Grand Touring. This new class of electric SUV is powered by Panasonic Energy’s lithium-ion EV battery cells, boasting an EPA-estimated range of up to 450 miles – all from a battery pack up to 40% smaller than its competitors. The spacious, energy-efficient Gravity SUV is expected to hit the market in late 2025.

Meet Ballie: Your AI Companion Robot from Samsung and Google Cloud
The future is closer than you think – Samsung Electronics America and Google Cloud have partnered to integrate Google Cloud’s generative AI technology into Ballie, Samsung’s AI companion robot.
A CES Innovation Awards® honoree in 2025, Ballie helps manage your home by adjusting lighting, greeting guests, managing schedules, and even offering fashion advice to streamline your morning routine. Using Gemini’s multimodal reasoning and Samsung’s AI capabilities, Ballie adapts to user behavior by analyzing both audio and visual data.
Samsung Streamlines Laundry Day
At CES on the Hill, Samsung Electronics America featured its Bespoke AI Laundry Combo, an all-in-one washer and electric dryer with a 7-inch AI-powered touchscreen. With the industry’s fastest wash-and-dry time – just 68 minutes for the vented combo – this appliance makes laundry day a breeze.

Lowe’s Elevates Home Renovation with Apple Vision Pro
Home renovations can be daunting, but Lowe's Companies, Inc. is aiming to change that. Last month, the company launched Lowe’s Style Studio for Apple Vision Pro in five Austin-area stores as part of a limited-time pilot program.
This immersive experience – also featured at CES on the Hill – enables Lowe’s associates to guide customers through interactive, 3D kitchen visualizations using Apple’s spatial computing technology.
Associates trained through Lowe’s Innovation Labs reported meaningful customer interactions, with many clients emotionally moved by seeing their dream kitchens brought to life. The tool has empowered associates to deliver more personalized and impactful consultations.

Jennie from Tombot, Inc.: A Lifelike Robotic Dog with a Life-Changing Mission
Tombot is redefining the role of robotics in caregiving. At CES on the Hill 2025, the company showcased Jennie – a lifelike robotic dog with realistic facial expressions, voice responsiveness, and soft puppy sounds. Jennie offers emotional support and companionship for people who can no longer care for a live pet – like those living with Alzheimer’s or other conditions that make animal care difficult.
The inspiration behind Jennie is deeply personal. In 2011, Tombot CEO and Co-Founder Tom Stevens faced a heartbreaking decision when his mother, Nancy, could no longer care for her beloved Goldendoodle due to Alzheimer’s. Rehoming the dog left Nancy feeling isolated, and the experience sparked Tom’s mission to create a comforting alternative.
Today, Jennie is helping to fill that gap. Tombot’s technology offers a safe, consistent source of comfort and connection for people who need it most.
