CTA Remembers the Legacy of Tyler Suiters

The following statement is attributed to Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, Consumer Technology Association (CTA)®, on the passing of Former CTA Vice President of Communications Tyler Suiters.  Tyler, a seasoned broadcast journalist, joined CTA in 2013 and left in 2021.

The CTA staff joins the many family members and friends who loved Tyler Suiters in mourning his passing. Tyler brought a genuine passion for his work and commitment to enriching the lives of those around him. As vice president for strategic communications, touching public policy, thought leadership and product category promotions, he played a key role in advising the association and was also the host of the CES Tech Talk podcast. More, Tyler joined many of us in CTA Boot Camp and generously shared his time, ideas and advice with colleagues.

Tyler was a consummate colleague who could always be counted on to show and inspire kindness, compassion and gratitude. Tyler spread joy to so many of us at CTA with his optimism, friendliness, inquisitive nature and can do attitude. While his life ended too soon, Tyler’s legacy lives on through the many people whose lives he touched along the way. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife Caryn, his daughter Sloane, his mother Diane (Howard) Melton, his father Larry T. (Gail) Suiters, a brother Mike (Katie) Suiters, nephew Lincoln Tyler Suiters and his beloved Golden Retriever Eowyn.

Services will be held at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Arlington, with a reception for friends and family to follow. Donations in Tyler’s honor can be made to the Healey Center for ALS, the Gleason Foundation or the CTA Foundation.
