Award-winning Broadband Equipment Agreement Exceeds Energy Efficiency Goals 

More than 98% of new modems, routers and other internet equipment purchased and sold last year for U.S. residential broadband subscribers met targeted energy efficiency levels, exceeding the goal of 90% set out in the industry voluntary agreement for small network equipment (SNE) led by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)®, NCTA - The Internet & Television Association and CableLabs, according to a new independent audit report.

The Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) final rule authorizing over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aids is the culmination of years-long advocacy by CTA, member companies and allied organizations. Starting mid-October 2022, Americans with mild to moderate hearing loss can buy affordable hearing aids the way they buy reading glasses—without a medical exam—from a local store or online.

Indy Autonomous Challenge to Return to CES 2023 with Boosted Engine Package on All Cars

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA)® today announced that after making history at CES 2022 with the world’s first-ever, head-to-head autonomous racecar competition, that the Indy Autonomous Challenge (IAC) will return to CES 2023®. The Autonomous Challenge @ CES will take place at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday, January 7, 2023. The event will be limited to CES attendees and transportation will be available from the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
