CTA Mid-Year Forecast Projects U.S. Technology Revenues to Grow 4.4% to $527 billion in 2025
The Consumer Technology Association (CTA)® projects that despite a third straight year of declines in U.S. hardware revenues, overall retail revenues for the U.S. consumer technology industry will grow 1% in 2024 to $505 billion, followed by 4.4% growth in 2025 to $527 billion, according to CTA’s U.S. Consumer Technology One-Year Industry Forecast (July 2024).

CTA and AdvaMed Host Congressional Digital Health Caucus Briefing on Remote Patient Monitoring
Today, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)® and AdvaMed hosted a policy briefing on remote patient monitoring (RPM) led by Congressional Digital Health Caucus Chairs Rep. Robin Kelly (D-IL) and Rep. Troy Balderson (R-OH).
RPM, which includes both remote physiological monitoring and remote therapeutic monitoring, allows patients to receive medical care from their homes. RPM also enables early detection of health issues through continuous monitoring, supporting timely interventions and improved health outcomes.

Consumer Technology Association CEO Gary Shapiro Urges Congress to Uphold Consumer Choice in Vehicle Technologies
Today, Gary Shapiro, CEO of the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)®, testified before the U.S. House Energy & Commerce Committee's Subcommittee on Innovation, Data and Commerce, advocating for consumer freedom in choosing vehicle technologies.
At the center of Shapiro's testimony was opposition to the proposed AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act, which would mandate the inclusion of analog AM radio in all new vehicles.
