The CTA Indexes measure consumer sentiment toward technology spending and how they perceive the overall health of the economy – the only forward-looking sentiment index of its kind. Designed to improve on weaknesses of the University of Michigan's Index of Consumer Sentiment and the Conference Board's Consumer Confidence Index, the CTA Indexes ask consumers about their expectations in the form of subjective probabilities.
