Wearable Health and Fitness Technology in U.S. Medical Care

The Consumer Technology Association seeked to understand the B2B implications of health and fitness technology (HFT) in U.S. medical care by conducting a secondary literature review and in-depth interviews with representatives of key stakeholders to determine:

  • Use of HFT in U.S. healthcare (e.g., hospitals or primary care, as supported by physicians, providers or insurance entities)
  • Key drivers and barriers to incorporating HFT into physician-directed wellness or treatment plans
  • Other factors impacting the acceptance of HFT by U.S. healthcare or medical insurance industries
