IoT Security Front and Center at Next CTA Technology & Standards Forum

Arlington, VA – August 2, 2016 – 

Today, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)™ announced it will focus on security issues involving the Internet of Things (IoT) at its next Technology & Standards Forum in October. The Security Summit will feature panel discussions and presentations on security, privacy and IoT from the FIDO Alliance, Internet Society, Online Trust Alliance and Trusted Computing Group.

“Because internet security and privacy are such complex topics with many connected parts and varied players, consumer technology industry groups have to tackle these topics from various angles,” said Dave Wilson, vice president, technology & standards, Consumer Technology Association. “The Security Summit at the CTA Technology & Standards Forum is convening these key stakeholders to share their work, discuss their common goals and work toward stronger security as consumer IoT adoption continues to grow at an exponential rate.”

The CTA Forum – Oct. 18-20, 2016 at the Renaissance Austin Hotel in Austin, TX – will also feature a keynote by Olaf Kolkman, chief internet technology officer of the Internet Society, on collaborative security and IoT. Other highlights include:
