  • Deputy CEO and CTO, Dr. Peter Gutzmer, and CEO Automotive OEM, Matthias Zink, of the Schaeffler Group presented “Solutions for the City of Tomorrow” and the future of vehicular autonomy. Schaeffler introduced the Bio Hybrid, an electric, emission-free reimagination of the bicycle, Robo Cabs, SpaceDrive systems, Schaeffler eMotor and Schaeffler eWheel. 

  • Procter and Gamble’s Phil Duncan, Global Design Officer, Marc Pritchard, Chief Brand Officer and Kathy Fish, Chief R&D and Innovation Officer presented six new products that incorporate disruptive tech and bring new life to everyday products. P&G introduced the Gillette Heated Razor, DS3 Liquid-Free Swatch, SK-II Future X Smart Store, the Opté, Oral-B Genius Toothbrush, and Olay Skin Advisor.

  • On Sunday afternoon, BYTON presented the world premiere of its M-Byte electric vehicle’s user interface, centered around a dashboard consisting of a 48-inch high resolution display and an industry-first display on the vehicle’s steering wheel. BYTON announced a partnership with Amazon, adding Alexa voice control to the vehicle in addition to gesture and touch.

  • Meanwhile, exhibitors are hard at work getting ready for the show floor doors to open on Tuesday!

  • iFLYTEK unveiled their pocket-sized recorder, which provides high accuracy transcriptions. In addition, they announced a partnership with RoboSense and demonstrated a voice-controlled, transforming robot.

  • CTA presented 2019 tech trends to watch and gave an exclusive preview  of the January U.S. Consumer Technology Sales and Forecasts. AI and connected tech are driving the U.S. consumer tech industry to a record breaking year — expected to reach $389 billion in retail. Emerging tech such as smart speakers, smart home devices, wireless earbuds, smart watches and drones are expected to continue to grow in popularity and breakthrough tech like 5G and 8K UHD TVs are set to hit the market.   • CES Unveiled Las Vegas, the official media event of CES, kicked off at Mandalay Bay.
