Walmart Uses AI and VR Tech to Transform the Retail Experience

Walmart sees a future of retail that incorporates technology such as virtual reality (VR) and artificial intelligence (AI) to engage consumers. The company is testing out many different ideas, including adding new e-commerce features and teaming up with Google to include thousands of items available through voice shopping on Google Assistant.

Walmart has been experimenting with VR to help train its employees for busy shopping days like Black Friday. The company also thinks VR can help shoppers try out products while shopping online.

Walmart is also looking to use 3D holograms that would make it possible for shoppers to try on virtual clothing for fit and style. Thanks to these technologies, the way we shop online or in stores is going to look different.
