All over the world, drone technology is being used to help people, from delivering medical supplies to inspecting damage after a natural disasters. Now, drones are helping wildlife, by letting researchers observe in a safer and less invasive way.

Intel (a Consumer Technology Association (CTA) member) has launched a new initiative with wildlife researchers. Intel’s artificial intelligence-powered drones are being used by wildlife researchers and conservationist organizations to observe polar bears and their environment safely and less invasively.

Intel’s drones are specifically designed for extreme conditions and are equipped with high-resolution cameras that are capable of capturing thermal data. The data collected from these drones will help better understand the challenges Polar bears face in their environment.
