Practice Your Jump Shot in NBA's New AR Game

With the NBA season tipping off, the league is focused on using technology to engage fans and get them excited. Taking a page from MLB’s playbook, who also added augmented reality (AR) features to its official app, the NBA recently released an AR app for iPhone users. 

Called NBA AR, users can customize a virtual court with their team logo of choice. A backboard and hoop will appear along with a ball. The goal is to make as many shots as possible in 30 seconds. The app won’t turn you into Stephen Curry or LeBron James, but for at least 30 seconds you can pretend.
