Alphabet's Project Loon Will Bring Emergency Internet Service to Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico is still reeling from the aftereffects of Hurricane Maria. In the wake of this disaster, many companies have donated their time, money and other resources to help the people of Puerto Rico recover and rebuild.

Alphabet will be joining the cause by bringing their Project Loon balloon powered internet to Puerto Rico to provide emergency internet service, working with AT&T and T-Mobile. This technology will support basic communication and even texting or accessing the internet.
