Back-to-School Shopping Season Means New Tech

Back-to-school shopping has gone high tech. In fact, 63 percent of U.S. back-to-school shoppers plan to buy tech this season. According to research from CTA, an estimated $19.9 billion have or will be spent on back-to-school tech in 2017 – up 7.62 percent from last year.

Shoppers are using technology to shop as well – 44 percent plan to shop at online retailers. And these shoppers are doing their research, with 81 percent conducting online research before making back-to-school purchases, an increase from 75 percent in 2016.
