The conversation about virtual reality typically revolves around gaming and new waves of immersive entertainment. Thanks to innovative content, virtual reality headsets can bring gamers and viewers into a different world. That’s exactly what doctors are hoping to accomplish.

A London hospice is using virtual reality to help patients with terminal illnesses cross a few lines off their bucket lists. Souzan Aprahamian, a patient at the Royal Trinity Hospice, was born more than 3,000 miles away from London in Jerusalem. Though her illness prevents her from traveling, virtual reality has allowed her to go home one last time.
