Virtual Reality Gets Presidential

Michael Williams, Digital Media Intern, Consumer Technology Association (CTA)

Yosemite National Park might be more than 2,500 miles from the White House, but new technology just brought it a lot closer.

In honor of the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service, National Geographic, Felix and Oculus (a Consumer Technology Association [CTA] member) teamed up to create a 360-degree tour of President Obama’s trip to the rapids of Yosemite Falls and the heights of Glacier Point.

So even if you didn’t leave the house this Labor Day, you can celebrate the great outdoors from your cubicle.

The video is available through the Oculus store and as a 360 video on Facebook.
