Before you set your alarm and head out to the mall early next Friday morning or pop open your laptop, here’s what you need to know about this year’s Black Friday shopping:

  1. A lot of us are shopping next week. Sixty-three percent of U.S. adults (155 million) plan to shop either in a physical store or online during the Black Friday Week (the Monday before Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday)).
  2. We’re not only shopping for gifts, but also for ourselves. During the Thanksgiving week, 44 percent of shoppers intend to shop for both themselves and someone else – and nine percent admit to planning on shopping only for themselves.
  3. Many of us are shopping for tech. Thirty-seven percent of U.S. adults (91 million) indicate they expect to purchase tech products or tech accessories.
  4. We’re shopping both online and in physical stores – Fifty percent of U.S. adults plan to shop at a physical retail store over the Thanksgiving week, while 47 percent are planning to shop online during that same period of time.
  5. Here are the tech products that those planning on buying tech during Thanksgiving week  intend to purchase:
