Top 7 Things You Need to Do to Prepare for #CES2014

Kelsey Pommer, Sr. Coordinator, Digital Media Marketing, Consumer Technology Association (CTA)™
Your tickets are booked, hotel reserved and your bags are (hopefully!) packed. Before you head to Vegas for tech’s most exciting week of the year, make sure you read the checklist below to be fully prepared for the 2014 International CES.

1.      Download the 2014 International CES Mobile App

Available for iOS and Android, the CES mobile app will enhance your show experience. Keep up with CES news, locate exhibitors and more.

2.       Create your MyCES Schedule

Use the MyCES planning tool to help organize your day, then sync up with CES Mobile to always have your schedule at your fingertips.

3.       Charge up your mobile devices

Whether you are using the new mobile- friendly CESweb to check out what events are happening each day or meeting up with friends and colleagues, there is nothing worse than your smartphone or tablet dying right when you need it most. Make sure to charge all your devices before you leave for the show!

4.       Grab your CES Show Publications

Find a publication bin (conveniently located in all of our show venues) to find the resources you need to navigate the show floor. New this year, we’ve included the Official Show Venue Maps in the Official Show Guide and Conference Brochure.

5.       Find some comfortable shoes

Walking the show floor can take a toll on your feet, so you want to make sure you are wearing the most comfortable shoes you have! Save your heels and your dress shoes for some of our fabulous events and awards or to go out on the town after the show.

6.       Pick up your badge!

New for 2014, we have new badges which will result in shorter lines, more badge functionality and greater ease of use. The new badges will have near field communication (NFC) technology, which enables us to access and update information on the badges quickly and effectively. One important change for 2014 CES is that badges will NOT be mailed in advance. You can pick up your badge at one of our remote or on-site locations.

7.       Connect with CES

Use our social media channels to get the latest news coming from the show and use our official hashtag #CES2014 to join in on the conversation.

Check these items off your to-do list and get ready for another amazing show! We can’t wait to see you in Vegas for the 2014 International CES
