Hear from John Shalam, Chairman of VOXX International and a Digital Patriot

Stephen Ewell, CEA Foundation

CEA recently announced that John Shalam, the Chairman and Founder of VOXX International and Chairman of the CEA Foundation, will be recognized as a Digital Patriot this month in Washington, D.C., alongside U.S. Senators Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and Rob Portman (R-OH) during the 10th annual Digital Patriots Dinner

During 2014 International CES, I had an opportunity for a quick interview with John to learn and hear his insights about the value of the foundation and the selection of its mission. John Shalam exemplifies the American dream. Born in Alexandria, Egypt, he arrived in New York in 1948 with his parents and three sisters when he was just 14.

Congratulations to John on receiving this well-deserved recognition.  For details on how to attend the Digital Patriots Dinner please visit CEA’s website.  Proceeds from the dinner will support the CEA Foundation and help expand its work linking seniors and people with disabilities with technologies to enhance their lives.

The 10th annual Digital Patriots Dinner on April 29 will honor the year’s foremost industry and policy leaders behind cutting-edge technology and the legal and regulatory framework that allows the CE industry to flourish.
