Smart Home Division

The Smart Home Division of the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)™, formerly the TechHome® Division, seeks to increase the sales and support of professionally installed home technology products. The division represents the entire channel for home control, entertainment and networking products including integrators, distributors and manufacturers.

Key Initiatives

  • Increase the awareness of installed home technology within the builder, realtor, appraiser and consumer communities.
  • Increase awareness of the energy-efficient systems and installations that CTA’s retailer/integrator members are capable of designing and installing.
  • Facilitate business relationships between the builder industry and CTA members by creating new growth opportunities in the home builder market for consumer technology products and installation services.
  • Actively participate on the Residential Systems Standards Committee, which is composed of CTA and CEDIA members who strive to establish bulletins and standards for designing and installing residential systems.
