Audio Division

The Audio Division of the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)™ aims to preserve the value of audio with promotions, research, technology and standards, and education that support emerging technologies.

Division Projects

State of the Home Theater
This research examines the current landscape and future use of home theater audio systems and components.

Consumers Journey to Purchase - Audio
This study provides insight into the opportunity at retail among key consumer groups by examining how consumers shop for audio products, what drives them to purchase in one channel over another, and the role salespeople, family/friends/coworkers, reviews and packaging play in their purchase decision. In addition, the study explores consumer perceptions of the different shopping options including brick-and-mortar, online and mobile channels.

Hi-Res Audio Logo Program
CTA and the Japan Audio Society (JAS) are partnering to promote and support the marketplace growth of Hi-Res Audio devices and content. The Hi-Res Audio logo, owned and administered by JAS, is now available for use by CTA members. 

This logo is offered to CTA member companies via a licensing agreement with JAS for product promotion, advertising or merchandising efforts. To inquire about the license, please contact the CTA membership team
