CEA Releases 2013 Edition of Five Technology Trends to Watch
Arlington, VA – 10/15/2012 – The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® today released the 2013 edition of Five Technology Trends to Watch, an annual publication that examines five prominent technology trends expected to influence the consumer electronics (CE) industry in the years ahead. The report was released in conjunction with a panel discussion of the technologies held during CEA’s Industry Forum in San Francisco, CA.

This year, Five Technology Trends to Watch examines: (1) the future of 3D printing; (2) next-generation TVs and displays; (3) the evolution of the audio market; (4) the mobile revolution in Africa; and (5) technology in education. Geared toward industry professionals, Five Techs provides in-depth analysis of each trend as well as market forecasts for the coming year. Each section also explores consumer perspectives, partnerships and key players. New this year, CEA’s analysts look back at the publication’s track record over the last 12 years to see where the analysts have hit the mark.

Five Techs is a great resource for anyone who wants to stay on top of CE trends,” says Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of CEA. “Our team of analysts leverages CEA’s powerful and in-depth market research as well as third-party studies to deliver a glimpse of what’s in store for the industry.”

Five Technology Trends to Watch is a free publication of CEA, produced as a special supplement to CE Vision magazine, the association’s flagship publication. The magazine is relaunching as It Is Innovation (i3) at the International CES®, owned and produced by CEA. The complete report can be found online at the CE Vision website.
